X-Frame™ is a recoverable and reusable framing system for the next generation of sustainable construction.
Comprising of twelve standardised components, the X-Frame™ system has undergone four and a half thousand hours of design prototyping. The result is an inherently braced structural matrix formed from CNC milled engineered plywood components that can be assembled into structural panels without the need for nails, glues, or screws.
End of life material separation, recovery and reuse now makes great economic sense and the very premise of end-of-life building waste is eradicated. Watch the TEDx Wellington talk below to learn more;

Core Functionality
X-Frame™ is designed on a 600mm module with the potential to form recoverable panels of any size based on this base unit.
X-Frame™ can be lined with any standard sheet material, however for full circularity potential we recommend 12mm Strawboard using Fastmount hidden pressure clasps. For a more cost effective circular solution we recommend 12mm untreated plywood using own our own hidden clip system.
X-Frame™ parts are fabricated from standard 1200mm x 2400mm sheets of 12mm structural plywood using a CNC mill. Components can then be effortlessly flat-packet and transported as required.
UNCOMPROMISING CIRCULARITY
X-Frame™ in Action
X-Frame™ is a prefabricated laterally resilient and highly flexible structural framing solution. With integrated capacity to reversibly fix structural cavity battens, glazing systems, solid timber members and internal linings.
